It was a hard night to decide what to do in Boston. Wire was across town, but we went with “the american beat” and hit The Fleshtones at Church of Boston, and wow what a show they put on!

The band, now in their 37th year (did we just write that?!), came out swinging through a catalog of hits for more than an hour including “Feels Good To Feel.”

Running around the audience during their set, and twirling around the stage in-between songs (no, we don’t know quite why) these fellows are the very definition of what showmanship is all about.

Where they get their energy from we’ll never know; all we do ask is that guitarist Keith Streng – possibly the best dressed man in rock and roll – eventually tell us where he gets his amazing shoes.
