MOCA-TV gives a behind the scenes look at the video for "Mongoloid"
The folks at MOCA.TV have been posting an array of videos exploring the work of American artist and sometimes filmmaker Bruce Conner, whose work was often set to, and inspired by popular music and musicians, including Devo (“Mongoloid”), Brian Eno and David Byrne (“Mea Culpa”). In the video interview below, Conner’s relationship to protopunk and Devo in particular in explored. Other videos include interviews with luminaries including Dennis Hopper and Toni Basil (who you will remember from “Mickey”) about further experimental video he created over his lifetime.
Tomorrow, the video cavalcade continues with Eno and Byrne’s “Mea Culpa” – watch them all at MOCA.TV.
